Welcome to Deganwy Playgroup!
Deganwy Playgroup is a long established, ever changing playgroup providing pre-school education and care to children between the ages of 2 to 4. We are an English-speaking setting, and provide a basic introduction to the Welsh language. We are proud of our reputation and are always well subscribed and sought-after.
Through our fun and friendly environment set in a modern facility adjacent to Ysgol Deganwy, our qualified team of staff take pride in offering children the opportunity to learn new skills and experiences in order to ease the transition into primary school. Opening Hours
Deganwy Playgroup and Playgroup Plus is open Monday-Friday from 8:45am-2:45pm.
We are closed during school holidays, on teacher training days and if Deganwy Out of School club require the building on other school closure days.
The following sessions are available (subject to availability) for the 2026 - 2027 school year:
8.45 -10.45am - Playgroup session @ £13.20
9am - 2.45pm - Playgroup 3 yr olds @ £37.20
9am-1pm - Playgroup Plus session @ £25.60
11am-2.45pm - Playgroup Plus session @ £25.60
News
Flying Start has been rolled out to all postcodes in the County of Conwy, applications can be made by emailing fs-childcare@conwy.gov.uk or phoning 01492575453. We are also registered for Early Years Education Grant, eligibility depends on the child's date of birth, we will prompt you to apply if eligible. Please note, it is parental responsibility to apply for any funding.

We are currently fully booked for this academic year with an extensive waiting list.
Applications are open for the academic year starting in September 2026, placed fill up fast and are limited to 30 per session.
